Digital Health Investor Laurent van Lerberghe Appointed Chairman of AQYLA BioVentures

Wavre, Belgium – September 10, 2026 : We are delighted to announce the appointment of Laurent van Lerberghe as Chairman of AQYLA BioVentures. This appointment marks a significant milestone as the company pursues its mission to discover highly innovative targets and build biotech companies around them using human disease models, causal BioML and ChemAI assembling world class AI capabilities from Belgium and European ecosystem.

For the last 4 years, Laurent has been an entrepreneur investor in digital health with prominent investments across Europe that he actively supports. He brings more than 25 years of international C-Suite pharma experience leading commercial as well as discovery execution, including as former Chief Strategy Officer of Sanofi, Senior Operational Leader in Abbott across Europe, the US and Asia, and leading therapeutic aera franchise through discovery and commercial journey.
