Highlights from my talk last December at HITLAB Innovator’s Summit in NYC
➡️Big data and AI are radically transforming healthcare across Research, Diagnostic and Patient Care
➡️With the grey tsunami coming, significant share of HCP will retire in next 5 years (40% HCP in Paris >65) while share of people >65 demanding more healthcare will keep rising
➡️AI and digital are not going to replace humans or make them redundant, they will augment those remaining as HCP and enable them to continue doing their work with high quality of care and bigger share of their time interacting with patients
Europe can take its fair share in this race
➡️Covid has been a big wake up call
➡️Digital health is now a priority across Europe with significant funding (€6Bn+ earmarked by EU scale up initiative and UK ones) and digital health growing 300%+ while classical therapies grow <5%
➡️Informations and Communication Technology professionals grow 60% every year now across Europe. At current pace, we can get to 50% in 5 yr, even 30% will enable big acceleration of technology adoption
➡️3,000+ companies identified at start up or early growth stage across research, diagnostic or patient care. Proprietary deep dive done in H1 with detailed segments and attractive targets identified
➡️EuroDataSphere, scale up mechanisms (eg reimbursement, geographic expansions) now developing to make it a reality
